Kitchen sinks
Argent Kitchen Sink Partners have environmental management policies in several areas to ensure all products manufactured do not disrupt the environment. These include:
- Ensuring that energy consumption and pollutant output remain negligible.
- Ensuring the disposal of pollutants is managed carefully and treated before being discharged.
- Maintaining the collection and respectful disposal of dust generated by polishing.
- Ensuring solid wastes are classified before disposal and disposed by qualified units. Solid wastes are recycled where possible.
- The factory has an optimal layout which minimizes noise through sound insulation and vibration reduction.
In-wall Cisterns, Flushing and Sanitaryware
Argent Sanitaryware Partners have environmental policies which promote a sustainable culture, maximize energy efficiency, follow strict legal guidelines, procure sustainably, and recycle water and waste in an appropriate manner. These policies include:
- Provide information, training, and incentives to employees to build a positive and enabling culture which supports sustainable behaviour.
- Ensure the responsible and efficient use of natural resources to minimise greenhouse gas emissions resulting from operations.
- Source products and services that contribute to positive environmental and social outcomes.
- Reduce the consumption of resources, and reuse and recycle where possible.
Showers and Tapware
Argent Shower and Tapware Partners adhere to the highest standard of manufacturing of metal and ABS showers, tapware and related products and meet all environmental sustainability administrative regulations. Argent Shower and Tapware Partners have identified general sewage, dust, welding fumes, noise, and solid waste as the main sources of pollution. Annual analysis and prevention reports are conducted to maximize sustainable practices to do with water, air, noise pollution and waste. Prevention methods include:
- All sewage waste undergoes extensive treatment before it is discharged.
- Dust resulting from grinding and polishing is collected and treated before respectful disposal.
- All welding is completed in a separate workshop which features enhanced circulation to avoid harmful smoke and gas circulating in the warehouse.
- To reduce harm to the environment all lampblack and exhaust gas is treated prior to discharge.
- Noise is managed by selecting low noise equipment for use and an acoustic shield is present in the warehouse to insulate and absorb noise and vibration from machinery. This shield includes foam on the inner walls and sound proof windows and doors.
- Equipment is checked and maintained regularly to eliminate unnecessary noise.
- Waste is treated carefully with solid waste and copper scraps collected by the reclamation depot and the environmental sanitation department.
- Garbage facilities are regularly disinfected to eliminate pests and avoid poor odour and breeding of mosquitoes and flies.
